Coach Whelan is one of the most respected hitting instructors in Northeast Ohio and has agreed to help our hitters again this season. John is currently an Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach and Hitting Instructor at St. Ignatius High School. He has been with the Wildcats for the past 9 seasons and has worked with numerous local athletes as a private hitting instructor since 2007.

- Received Baseball Scholarship to St. Bonaventure University in New York.

- Played NCAA Division 1 College baseball in the Atlantic 10 Conference at St. Bonaventure University 1992-1996 (Team Captain 1996)
